SASAMI. SOS x 988 LIFELINE
Public Service Campaign
Lookout Mountain crafts an integrated, public-service campaign for 988 Lifeline and Sounds of Saving, a nonprofit operating at the intersection of music, youth culture and mental health. Partnering filmmaker RITA BAGHDADI with Domino-recording artist SASAMI in the lead-up to the release of her album, Blood on the Silver Screen, the campaign is anchored by "The Song That Found Me," Rita's intimate and experiential documentary short that builds to a bravura, single-shot performance of SASAMI covering "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs on a Laurel Canyon rooftop at sunset. The film and performance serve as a testament to the way music and artistic expression can inspire young people to reconsider what's possible. The campaign also includes a Public Service Announcement and exclusive content distributed across SASAMI's social media platforms, creating an organic pathway to mental health information and resources. The unique nature of the campaign was covered by Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, and a conversation between recording artist and documentary filmmaker, "SASAMI and Rita Baghdadi Feed Off Your Energy," was featured in TALKHOUSE about their artistic collaboration and singular, creative pursuits.
